MBC is committed to our clients but we are also committed to the community.  Over the years, MBC has contributed time and funds to a number of local charity, youth groups and professional organizations.

Boy Scouts of America strives to “help build the future leaders of this country by combining education activates and lifelong values with fun”. As an Eagle Scout, Mr. Brinson has continued this tradition of scouting as den leader, Assistant Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master with the Cub Scouts and Boys Scouts of America for the past nine years. The South Florida Council named Mr. Brinson as the 2013 “Scouter Go Getter of the Year.”

One of MBC’s services lines is potable water treatment system design and construction administration.  We understand the importance of adequate quantities of safe drinking water.  Providing clean drinking water and adequate sanitation in under developed countries is the goal of Water For People.  We at MBC’s are committed to helping this charity attain their goals, with philanthropy and volunteerism.  A MBC employee was selected to be part of the World Water Corps with Water for People. As a member of the Bolivia project team, he visited Bolivia in July, 2012 to perform monitoring tasks in the city of Cochabamaba and nearby towns.

“Water For People helps people in developing countries improve quality of life by supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programs.

Around the world, 783 million people do not have access to safe drinking water and 2.5 billion are without adequate sanitation facilities. Every day, nearly 6,000 people who share our planet die from water-related illnesses, and the vast majority is children.

But the real failures are all the broken pumps, filled latrines, and solutions that aren’t. We want to change all that. The solution? Programs that last and examine entire districts and regions rather than purely households and villages. Create solutions that last, and not only do people benefit for a long period, but organizations don’t have to expend time and energy going back again and again to the same location.

Our vision is a world where all people have access to safe drinking water and sanitation, a world where no one suffers or dies from a water- or sanitation-related disease. That vision is within reach and we hope you’ll join us.”

MBC has sponsored or volunteered time for the following local organizations:

  • Water for People
  • The AWWA Water Tower Competition, Silver Sponsors and Volunteer
  • South Florida Council of BSA
  • The Broward The Marine Industry Cares Spin-a-Thon
  • Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital
  • Museum of Art, Academy of Art

MBC strives to build a philosophy of volunteerism and philanthropy.  Each team member contributes in to the local community by being active leaders and volunteering at their personal churches, schools, and local organization.
